Lena Corvi

Lena Corvi, 91, of Yorkville, OH, died, Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Liza’s Place, in Wheeling, WV.

Lena was born on February 22, 1928, in Rocca Pia, Italy, to the late Joseph and Anna (Leone) Spong.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Onario Spagnolo and Mario Spong.

Lena was a devoted wife and mother. She loved traveling, especially to visit her children and grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her family, she loved to cook for them and share her recipes.

Lena is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lawrence Corvi; a daughter, Marianne (Vince) Bonomo; three sons, Lawrence (Andrea) Corvi, Ernest (Phyllis) Corvi and Joseph (Angie) Corvi; eight grandchildren, Michael and Lauren Corvi, Erica (Marc) Logan, Ernest James (Andrea) Corvi, David (Katherine) Corvi, Kristen (Ryan) King, Natalie (Michael) Beckett and Ali (Ben) Bolock and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, for the immediate family.

Funeral Liturgy with mass, will be opened to the public, on Friday, July26th, at 11 am, at St Lucy Catholic Church, Yorkville, OH, with Father William Cross and Monsignor George Coyne.

Memorial contributions may be made to Liza's Place or St. Lucy Catholic Church, in Lena's name.

Burial will follow at Upland Cemetery.
