Julius “Cas” Zamski, 83, of Adena, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at his home.
Julius was born on July 10, 1935, in Adena, OH, to the late Julius and Frances (Kowalski) Dundr Zamski Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Philip and Chester Zamski and a son-in-law, Ron Ducker.
After attending Mt. Pleasant High School, he served in the US Army. He was a member of St. Casmir’s Catholic Church, Adena, OH. Julius was a loyal member of the Adena American Legion, Post 525. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers.
Julius is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 59 years, Bridget (Zupan) Zamski; a daughter, Diana Ducker; a son, Scott (Rena) Zamski; grandchildren, Amanda Ducker, Andrew Hook, Jennifer (Mike) Joseph; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (Ross) Beck and two brothers, Richard (Wilma) Dundr and David Dundr.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Julius and celebrate his life on Friday, March 1st, from 2-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, OH, with a wake service at 7:30, with Monsignor John Kolesar.
Military services will be held on Saturday at 10 am from the funeral home, with The Adena American Legion.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be at 11 am at St. Casimir Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Adena American Legion, in Julius’s name.
