MAE SHINN
Mae (Tressler) Shinn, 95, passed away, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Park Health Care Center, in St. Clairsville, OH.
She was born on July 2, 1922, in Bluefield, WV, to Charles and Lelia Kennett.
In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her first husband, James Earl Tressler; second husband, William Shinn; a daughter, Faye (Walter) Husted; two sons, James "Jimmy" Tressler and George "Sonny" Tressler; and a sister, June (Sam) Morris.
Mae moved to Akron, OH, to work as a riveter during WWII. As she settled in the Ohio Valley, she married Earl Tressler, and together they raised eight children on a farm in Steubenville.
She was a member of the Yorkville United Methodist Church; a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and a past-member of the DAV.
Mae is survived by three sons, Jack (Pauline), William (Sandy) and John (Alex) Tressler; two daughters, Lydia Rocchio and Dorothy (Rick) Pierpoint; two daughters in-law, Betty and Janet Tressler; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday, May 14, 2018, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Pastor Dan Holt officiating.
Mae will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
