Dorothy (Mantica) Wayte, 93, passed on March 29, 2019 at Shadyside Continuing Care Center.
Dorothy was the fourth of six children born to Rose and Ralph Mantica in Steubenville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Dr. John, pharmacist Ralph, Fr. Donald, and teacher Connie.
She is survived by teacher Antonette, living in Naples, Fla. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, cousins and a whole lot of wonderful friends, and her husband, Clarence (Clem).
Dorothy was a wonderful housewife as well as a loyal employee at several public works, and spent many of her younger years at her father’s side helping in the family drug store. Later in life, she enjoyed many bus tours, one of which was up in Canada when 9/11 happened. That trip has been re-lived many times. Also, she worked with the fish fry for many years at St. Lucy in Yorkville.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Dorothy and celebrate her life on Tuesday, April 2, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m., at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Father William Cross as celebrant.
Entombment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.
