Charles Ritchie

Charles “Rooster” Ritchie, 93, of Rayland, OH, died, Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Liza’s Place, in Wheeling, WV.

Chuck was born on April 8, 1926, in Tiltonsville, OH, to the late Richard and Mildred (West) Ritchie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Gusti) Ritchie; four brothers, Bob, Roger, Lee and Freddy Ritchie and two sisters, Jane Daniels and Dorothy Ritchie.

Chuck served in the United States Army. He was a member of The IBEW Local Union 246, Steubenville, OH, for 66 years. He was also a member of the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church, the VFW, Yorkville, OH and The Indian Club, Tiltonsville, OH.

Chuck is survived byb his son, Mark (Michel) Ritchie, of Rayland, OH; a daughter, Shirley (Rick) Spar, of Tucson, AZ; a brother, Jim (Jerri) Ritchie; two sisters, Shirley Barte and Midge (Jack) Fisher; three grandchildren, Jason (Tara) Ritchie, Jennifer (Jon) Liberty and Carrie Klug (Steve Pennel); three great-grandchildren, Madison, Eloise and Ellison.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Chuck and celebrate his life on Wednesday, October 30th, from 3-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and on Thursday from 10 am until the time of service of 11 am at the funeral home, with Reverend Dan Holt officiating.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the three wonderful women who cared for Chuck, Tammy, Renee’ and Randi. Also, they would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Emerald Pointe and Liza’s Place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church and Liza’s Place in Chucks’ name.
