Anna Mae Sickle, 100, of Harrisville, OH, died, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Altercare, in Adena, OH.
She was born on March 17, 1918, in Barton, OH, to the late Harry and Emma (Donley) Horstman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bud” Sickle; a daughter, Patricia Adams; three son -in- laws, Ricky Marshall, Walter Podlich and Ray Adams; a grandson, Kenny Adams; six brothers, Harry, William, David, Craig, Richard, and WWII Veteran, killed in action in Okinawa, James Horstman and three sisters, Ethel Busby, Mary Blevins and Libby Johnson.
Anna was a charter member of the Adena American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Paul) Kalonick and Robalee Podlich; seven grandchildren, Mike, Glen and David Adams, Lisa Kowalski, Amy Clelland, Rick Marshall and Robalee Jenkins; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys McKnight; a brother in-law, Ralph (Mary Ann) Sickle and a sister - in-law, Gloria Horstman.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Anna and celebrate her life on Friday, September 28th, from 4-8 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, OH, with the Adena American Legion Ladies Auxiliary conducting services at 6 pm.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, at 11 am at the funeral home with Monsignor John Kolesar officiating.
Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
