Aleta Mary Vargo

Aleta Mary Vargo, 68, of Tiltonsville, OH, died, Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Rolling Hills Nursing Home, in Bridgeport, OH.

Aleta was born on April 7, 1951, in Steubenville, OH, to Dorothy (Nowicki) Martinette and the late Martin Martinette Sr.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Mary Nowicki and an aunt, Phyllis Stewart.

Aleta was Catholic by faith.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, John Vargo; a son, Jacob (Dina) Deffenbaugh; two daughters, Sarah (Charles) Dunn and Leah Marie Vargo; her step-son, Michael Vargo; her mother, Dorothy Martinette; two brothers, Martin Martinette Jr. and Daniel (Claudia) Martinette and four grandchildren, Austin and Jaden Deffenbaugh, Charles Dunn III and Ariana Dunn.

Family and friends will be received to pay tribute to Aleta and celebrate her life on Tuesday, December 10th, from 2-8 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.  The memorial service that was scheduled at 5 pm, at First Christian Church of Martins Ferry, has been changed to 11 am, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Pastor Rod Kassler officiating.
