John A. Koren, 49, of Winchester, VA, formerly of Yorkville, OH, died Saturday, December 2, 2017, in Winchester, VA.

John was born on August 25, 1968 in Wheeling, WV, to John Koren and the late Pamela (Plewniak) Koren.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Geneva Plewniak and his paternal grandfather, John Koren.

John served in the United States Army; he graduated from Central Texas University and was employed with the Department of Labor.

He is survived by his father, John (Marge) Koren; two daughters, Chloe and Audrey Koren, and their mother, Elizabeth; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Koren Slezak; a sister, Kristen Saxton; a nephew, Gage Saxton and a niece, Ever Saxton.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to John and celebrate his life on Friday, December 8th from 2-6 pm at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH. Funeral Services will follow with Pastor James Monogioudis officiating.
