James Potkoski, 89, of Adena, OH, died, Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Harrison Community Hospital, in Cadiz, OH.

Jim was born on June 24, 1928, in Duncanwood, OH, to the late Frank and Anna (Runevich) Potkoski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 61 years, Ethel (Fife) Potkoski and several brothers and sisters.

Jim ran the family farm; was employed with Northfolk and Western railroad and also worked at Hanna Coal Co.

Jim is survived by two sons, Robert and James Potkoski; two daughters, Sandra Potkoski and Linda Taylor; a brother, Edward Potkoski; a sister, Violet Hadam; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Jim and celebrate his life on Sunday, December 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, OH.

Friends will also be received on Monday from 10 am until the time of services of 12 noon at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville, OH.
